ChadGoldBarcelona – South Africa produced yet another gold medal at the 15th FINA world championships on Saturday evening as Chad le Clos won the 100m butterfly. Le Clos became the first SA swimmer to win two events in the same discipline at a world championships as he won the 100m butterfly.

He also set a new SA record for the event in a time of 51.06 seconds -0.37 seconds faster than his time from the London Olympics last year.

“I was so worried last night as I didn’t sleep great and I was very nervous this morning,” said Le Clos.
